Handcut Baked Fries
I invested in a fry/vegetable cutter a few weeks ago. I just stink at cutting fries all nice and even. I think I paid about 10 bucks on Amazon. Just put the whole potato in and press it through the blades. It has a small and large attachment. Ever since I made my first batch of these, my husband told me to never buy frozen french fries again. These are quick to make, you can season them however you want, and are healthier since you are making them from scratch. Not to mention they aren’t processed with any additional junk. This will also save you money. Potatoes are always inexpensive.
Handcut Baked Fries
Ingredients
2-4 small russed potatoes
2-3 tbs olive oil (enough to coat the fries)
Any seasoning you like, I sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, and either Old Bay or sweet paprika
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 425°. On a baking sheet, toss the potato sticks with the olive oil until evenly coated. Spread the potato sticks on a rimmed baking sheet in a single layer, sprinkle them with your seasonings, and bake in the upper third of the oven, turning once or twice with a spatula, until they are golden and crispy, about 30 minutes.
